175 Years in the Making

Welcome to the 49er Festival and the Taste of Tuolumne, this year celebrating the history and heritage starting long before California was a state and the County was created in 1850. This year's Taste of Tuolumne highlights the diversity of our county's heritage and cultures. It's about our local, authentic Food and Drink, and the Music, Arts, Crafts, and unique contributions of our businesses, volunteer organizations, and wilderness agencies that make up our rich Sierra tapestry.

We look forward to seeing you for the Main Street Parade and the 49er Festival on September 20.

Grand Marshal Leonard Cassaretto (1942-2024)

If there’s one thing Leonard Cassaretto loved, it was the annual Old West Days/49er Festival and the Main Street Parade. If there’s one thing Leonard would have hated, it would be the honor and recognition of being named Grand Marshal.

The Cassaretto Family has been in Groveland since 1874. Six generations later, they remain committed to this community.
