School has begun. The wind is picking up. Leaves are dropping. Pumpkin spice is popping up. Thoughts are turning to the holidays. We celebrate our families and our country’s history every November. This year, we’re also honoring our families who came here and created our history in Tuolumne County. How best to celebrate? Food. Good food. Lots of it.
We’re proud to have Mar-Val Food Stores as Taste of Tuolumne Food Showcase sponsor again this year. Mar-Val is where we go for the widest range and best selection of quality ingredients for our holiday meals and entertainment. Literally from soup (housemade by MarVal or all the fresh ingredients to make your own) to those little appetizer nuts and everything in between. And don’t forget Turkey Bucks…coming soon to help build a nest egg for your special holiday prime rib or turkey purchases.
Want more time for fun, less time for cooking? With guests, parties, and family gatherings coming up, locals know they can pre-order everything from party trays to complete holiday meals from Mar-Val’s Deli.
Stop by Mar-Val’s booth at the 49er Festival and Taste (for just $1) Mar-Val Deli’s Holiday Slider. It’s Roasted Turkey Breast, Stuffing with a smidge of Cranberry served on Hawaiian Roll carrying a light layer of savory gravy “mayo.” Run don’t walk to the Festival Cashier for a handful of Taste of Tuolumne tickets on Festival Day, then on to Mar-Val’s booth for a Holiday Slider (or three or four.)
The team at Mar-Val sees the 49er Festival and Taste of Tuolumne as more than a marketing thing. Mar-Val Food Stores have been family-owned and operated since 1952 and have always supplied more than just food to their small communities. Considered one of the larger employers in most of those towns, Mar-Val takes pride in supporting local nonprofit events and causes either through direct cash or food donations, eScript Community Cards returning 5% to local charities like ROOFBB, or supporting big community events like the 49er Festival.
Thanks, Mar-Val. Bring on the Holiday Sliders!
