This week’s 49er Festival Taste of Tuolumne is a double-feature. Around The Horn Brewing Company will be serving a Taste AND pouring their golden brews at the Adult Craft Beverage showcase. This is a new model for adult beverages at the festival and it’s a win-win-win: Our local businesses get added exposure at the event, our community gets to enjoy our locally produced adult beverages in the park, and the Chamber benefits from the proceeds of alcohol sales.
Beer lovers near and far have been enjoying Around The Horn’s wide and creative range of beer styles and flavors since doors opened in Big Oak Flat in July of 2020. Regular releases of new beers keep the crowds coming back, and September 21 will be no exception. A little birdie told us that ATH will be releasing an exciting new brew at the 49er Festival in honor of our Grand Marshal. Mum’s the word but keep your eyes on their social media as we count down to Festival day.
There will be plenty of photo ops at this year’s Festival, so say “Cheese” and be prepared to spend a wad of your $1 Taste of Tuolumne tickets on Around The Horn’s signature Beer Cheese, served with a pretzel and a fire-and-ice pickle. If you haven’t had their Beer Cheese & Pretzel, then you’re in for a real treat. If you have, you know the Beer Cheese goes with any dipper…pretzel, veggie stick, or even a piece of old tire. It’s THAT good.
