New at this year’s 49er Festival is the Taste of Tuolumne Food & Beverage Showcase. The Yosemite Chamber is partnering with Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce to bring festival-goers a stellar selection of authentic local cuisine. For just $1 a taste, you’ll savor some of the best food our county has to offer.
Firefall Ranch’s Executive Chef Angelique Cecilie Pereat brings the passion of her Argentinian heritage and international training to our Yosemite gateway. Chef Angelique recently told Forbes.com, "My culinary creations at Firefall Ranch are a reflection of my rich Argentinian European background and diverse culinary experiences. Growing up in Argentina, I honed my skills by spending Sundays cooking over open fires, utilizing fresh vegetables and premium grass-fed beef from the Pampas, while drawing inspiration from the region's multicultural influences."
Chef Angelique has chosen her empanadas with housemade chimichurri salsa as Firefall Ranch’s Taste of Tuolumne. Using her great aunt’s recipe, Chef’s flaky pastry pockets house a perfectly-spiced meat filling and her chimichurri tops off the taste explosion. Just wait til you wrap your lips around one of these beauties. You’ll want to purchase a handful of Taste Tickets just so you can come back for more.
More delicious news: if you simply can’t wait til September 21 to try Chef Angelique’s Taste of Tuolumne, you can order Chef’s perfect empanadas at The Tavern at Firefall Ranch.
