We’re delighted to welcome Aroma Restaurant & Wine Bar at The Groveland Hotel back for another year as 49er Festival Main Stage sponsor. There’s a certain synergy between great food and entertainment that lines right up with our largest and most popular annual event.
Just take a wander down Main Street on a summer afternoon and you can’t help but get a wonderful whiff of something delicious coming from The Groveland Hotel. And, on most weekend evenings, the tantalizing aroma mingled with live music coming from the hotel’s garden is almost irresistible. So don’t resist…follow your senses to The Groveland Hotel’s luscious patio. Enjoy a cocktail or special wine selection, one of the many wonderful menu choices, and good music in what’s possibly the prettiest and most relaxing outdoor dining choice in Tuolumne County. It has that special "Je ne sais quoi", with music and a warm, local-meets-traveler vibe.
One of our most storied historic buildings, The Groveland Hotel and Restaurant have served generations of travelers and locals. Featured on the 175th Anniversary Heritage Quilt and in this week’s STCHS Heritage Quilt article on Historic Lodging, learn more about the hotel’s original and previous owners…those who put their unique stamps on this venerated landmark building.
It’s that same sense of community, rest, and relaxation that current owners Serenite Hotels’ Rajvi Shah and Amar Alapati strive to deliver at The Groveland Hotel, and at their other boutique properties in getaway places like Narrow Gauge and Shaver Lake. Providing a comfortable, welcoming environment and exceptional food to locals and tourists alike is their “bread and butter.”

Taste of Tuolumne: Chef Sherise Miller
Speaking of bread and butter…Aroma Restaurant at The Groveland Hotel Chef Sherise Miller will be demonstrating the diversity of her cuisine with two tempting Tastes: Tallow fried sourdough zeppoli with caramel and sugar AND vegan Italian lentil soup. For just $1 a Taste, you’ll be lining up for more after your first delicious bite.
If you haven’t been to Aroma Restaurant & Wine Bar at The Groveland Hotel recently, you’re in for a big treat. Chef Sherise’s menu is teaming with delicious apps and entrees, including a “Build Your Own” pasta dinner with several choices of pastas and sauces. (And Oh Baby, Sherise’s marinara sauce is to die for! Try it on Chef’s homemade cheese raviolis.) Served with a generous fresh side salad, the pasta entrees are one of the tastiest values in town. Watch The Weekly and social media for new menu items…Chef Sherise loves to surprise and delight.
